Version 14.A01 of the PAI/O Driver for Tape was shipped on November 30th, 2011. Version 14 of the product includes the following features and enhancements:
the user should note that the data patterns employed by Version 14 of the PAI/O Driver for Tape are incompatible with data produced by prior versions of the product,
the minimum operating system level for the execution of the PAI/O Driver for Tape is z/OS 1.8,
a new section has been added on understanding global uniqueness and generational difference at a file level,
a new Tape Catalog Summary Report as been added to both TBLDPDB and TREPORT processes that details the contents of the internal tape catalog. This addition requires the addition of a //TAPECTLG DD statement to the JCL for both processes,
corresponding changes to the TBLDPDB and TREPORT scripts have been made to the scripts discussed in Technical Note 1101: Using Desktop SAS for Analysis and Reporting to add FILENAME TAPECTLG statements,
JCL for a new member, CTLGREPT, has been added to the JCLSAMP library. This JCL member produces just the new Tape Catalog Summary Report. A corresponding script has been added to the \iodriver_t14\tapeanal PC directory,
the Test Series Summary Report has been enhanced for de-duplication experiments,
the DEDUPCTL control statement has been enhanced to allow the user to specify the minimum quantities of data to be created in each generation or read from existing generations
bit 3 of the CFLAG in the common log record base segment has been redesignated to denote disk only studies,
execution under z/OS 1.13 is now recognized and supported, and
support for SAS 9.1 and MXG 29.06 is provided.
In addition, the workload profiling component of the PAI/O Driver for Tape includes the following features and enhancements:
