Current Release

Version 20.A01 of the PAI/O Driver for z/OS was shipped on December 19th, 2011. This new release provides a variety of new features and enhancements that substantially increase the ease of use of the PAI/O Driver for z/OS and the data it collects. The new program features and enhancements include:

• as was the case for Version 19, the minimum operating system level for the execution of the PAI/O Driver for z/OS is z/OS Version 1 Release 8,

• JCLMAGIC has been updated to specify format write for sequential tests series step G156 of EXCP based tests. Pursuant to zHPF restrictions, format writes are not employed for the VSAM sequential write test series,
• execution under z/OS Version 1 Release 13 is now recognized, and

• support for SAS 9.1 and MXG 29.06 is provided.
  

This release also provides a significantly enhanced version of the profiling software. The new program features and enhancements include:

• the SSID Address Range Report has been enhanced to include the subsystem serial number and vendor, and

• the MAPSERNO control statement has been introduced to allow subsystems to be identified by serial number.
